RIVERDAM POINT riverdam is a small town at the very tip of the northern empire. it has the most wonderful view overlooking the sea. the town is fairly quiet, save for the waves crashing at the base of the cliff below the town. because riverdam was built on such high terrain, there are few mornings where mist doesn't layer the ground around your ankles, sometimes even hanging in the air throughout the day. WISTERGRASS MARSH wistergrass marsh is a common training spot for northern shinobi. the flat terrain is damp, and without the proper knowledge of the terrain, one could fall right into a pocket of quick-mud. the shinobi here utilize the misty air and tall grass to hide from their opponents. wistergrass marsh isn't just a wetland area for training, however, there are also spacious plains where gardens have been planted, using the surrounding water and marsh to irrigate the growing plants. QUIETKEEP COVE quietkeep cove is a small village where fog rolls in every day at three in the afternoon. it's not much of a village, but it's peaceful. quietkeep is on the edge of a cliff, and the fog only makes the village more dangerous. the shinobi who live in quietkeep are all masters of sensing chakra and objects around them, so even during the fog, they don't make the mistake of falling off the edge of the cliff. EVERGUARD everguard is the largest city in the southern empire, and perhaps the whole shinobi world. it is a gorgeous area with very traditional architecture, yet still a modern feel. everguard is known world-wide for the southern police force, run by the uchiha clan, who's headquarters resides here. DUSK FOREST the dusk forest is a dark old forest associated with many rumors and wives tales concerning magic and forbidden jutsu. whatever the stories may say, the dusk forest is completely harmless, and the locals find it a rather nice place to take walks or train, despite it being a bit dark. FIRE VILLAGE fire village is famous around the empire during the months of winter. although it doesn't get too cold in the southern empire, the leaves on every tree in the fire village turn bright red, making the village look like it's on fire from far away. the village is one of the smaller, more traditional villages in the southern empire, and is a local tourist attraction during the cooler months because of its beauty. BRANSHIRE branshire is a small but busy town in the eastern empire. known for the fruit groves that grow around the city, branshire alone makes up more than half of the economy in the eastern empire. in addition to the fruit industry, the people of branshire are known to be quite intelligent, having one of the largest libraries in the shinobi world in the center of the village. SILVERCREEK WOODS silvercreek woods is a small forest made up of pine trees with a shine to them that, in the sun, glitters like silver. the woods aren't too thick, but for those not acquainted with the beasts that live inside, can be a nightmare of a place. there is little shelter in the woods, but the rich pine smell is homey and sweet. silvercreek woods isn't just named after the pine trees, but the small creek that splits the forest in half. EASTERN ARCHIPELAGO the northern empire isn't the only one on the edge of the water. the eastern empire is also by the water. the eastern archipelago is a set of islands on the outside of the eastern empire. they're close to the shore, but the surrounding water keeps the islands safe from outside attackers. the islands are more tropical than the rest of the shinobi world and the rainfall is heavier here than anywhere else in the shinobi world; the eastern archipelago is more of a tourist attraction than a home for ninja, but it's one of the most highly populated areas in the shinobi world because of that. WESTRON CITADEL westron citadel is a large village in the center of the western empire. the well-fortified city is one of great industry and wealth in the shinobi world. the westron citadel is a large city surrounded by a huge, fortified wall similar to a castle. the entire westron citadel is made of large stone bricks, giving it a very old, medieval or renaissance feel. ALDERCROSS VILLAGE aldercross village is close to the westron citadel, and the close proximity makes the two very close. being the smaller of the two, aldercross isn't nearly as well known as the westron citadel. and what the westron citadel lacks in medical knowledge, aldercross makes up for it. aldercross is a small village in the middle of a wooded area. though it is well hidden from most, aldercross's medical centers are the best in the world. WESTWORD MOUNTAINS though most cities in the west mostly are located on flat ground, the majority of the western empire is a mountainous highland that makes it colder than the rest of the shinobi world. the westword mountains make up a grand portion of the western empire, and can even be seen near the borders of the surrounding empires. while most of the mountains are just cold rocky terrain, the tips get quite a bit of snow. those who live in the westword mountains are nothing but crazy fools who can survive the strong gusts of wind and unbearably long winter months.
